Funny Beena and Spud story...
So yesterday Beena asked me if she could change Spud's diaper. I told her no, but that she could watch so that she could start learning. It was a stinky diaper, so she definitely got an induction - and at least she wasn't too put off by it...but then she noticed a difference between boys and girls..."MOMMY! I didn't know boys had those things on them!"
A few seconds later, she noticed his umbilical cord: "MOMMY! What IS that on his tummy!?" "It's what's left of his umbilical cord - he "ate" through that while he was in my tummy." "But can't you take it off?" "No, Beena, it needs to fall off on it's own."
But thank you for reminding me. Probably best to wait until after the cord falls off before any of the girls change his diaper...that way they won't have to remember to fold the diaper down.

"he "ate" through that while he was in my tummy"
Half asleep still reading this.. misread that totally and suddnely flashed on an image of very tiny baby with cord between his teeth chewing away, trying to eat through it.
Maybe I need more naptime? lol
